During the weekend of Shooting the West held in Winnemucca the second weekend in March. My frends and I had a good time photographing in Winnemucca and on the way home. We shot photos in Water Canyon above town, at Thunder Mt., RyePatch, an old time stamp mill and tufa formations near Lovelock. Here some of my favorite shots from that trip. |

Hey freinds, I have been getting ready for Shooting the West in Winnemucca. This photo symposium is the Mother of all Photo get togethers in Nevada. They are on their 23 year. Each year they have a photo contest and the photographers bring two of their favorite prints. I am including in this portfolio my final picks. I won't tell you which ones are going. I would like to know your favorite 2 selections. | (Contains 30 photos)
In the last week of 2009, I spent a few days with my Son-in-Law and 4 other houndsmens looking for mountain lions south of Hawthorne,NV. The photos in this portfolio were taken one morning when the storm broke and we put the dogs onto two set of lion tracks. Being with lion hunters is a special experience. They love their dogs, spent new years eve with them and caught up with a good lion in the Monitors. I wasn't there and am hoping to get a pic of the trophy to post. |

Just returned from a 3 day visit to a cabin near Tahoe City. Had a great shoot on the river below Tahoe City. The water was just a trickle allowing me to actually cross the river on my snowshoes. Come along with me on a snowshoe hike down to river and discover what I saw. One of these shots will be my calendar shot for next year. Whats your favorite? | (Contains 30 photos)
Heres some of my favorite winter scenes that I'm saving to do Christmas cards next year. They will be available in boxed sets on my Pictage Website begining in September. Enjoy for now. I will be posting more after spending next week up at Lake Tahoe. Merry Christmas to all. |

Heres some pics from a two day shoot on the Truckee River the end of October. Theres a sense of urgency in the air to catch the river riparian in its finest foilage before the next storm strips the trees of their leaves. The river flows were shut down shortly after the photos were taken, leaving the flumes without water and the river down to mere cobblestones. | (Contains 20 photos)
Fall Colors will be fleeting in the next couple weeks. Heres some of my favorite pics from a Sunday Drive on October 26 from Fallon to Genoa over to Woodsford, up to Hope Valley. |
