Then and now - Great Basin Bristlecones
This composite photo shows a photo of a bristlecone I took 34 years ago at the age of 20. (Sorry the slide scan is so dirty),compared to a photo taken in 2006. The tree was healthy in 1972. I suspect it suffered from a lightening strike. Notice the split branches on the top of the tree that helped me ID the tree.
